50% of Oxbridge being from the comprehensive system is problematic when only 7% of the population is privately educated. How can 7% of students in the U.K. make up 50% - that’s hugely over represented. Oxbridge and universities more generally should have around 7% of their intake from private schools.

And it’s more insidious than that when you consider 20 of our 57 prime ministers went to a SINGLE school. These places need to be regulated and ideally outlawed as they entrench the class system and they encourage nepotism at the highest ranks of the U.K. society.
