Aaaaah, that was it. I’m sure there were fireworks though weren’t there? I’ve watched The Civil War by Ken Burns (albeit over a decade ago) and find the civil war to be fascinating… ‘Gone With the Wind’ is one of the best books ever written (albeit problematic to modern sensibilities). I should’ve known that Ft Sumpter was involved in that! Your country is too big and the history is to spread out for me to know it all :’(
