And make no mistake about it: this has been a gargantuan problem. According to some estimates up to 250,000 girls could have been abused by these rape gangs over the last few decades. Yes, you read that right: a quarter of a million. This is a an appalling figure.

According to my estimate it might be as many as 8 billion. Who is estimating? What are they basing these figures on. Yes it's an appalling figure, but so is 8 billion and I just made that up.
