The frequency of the assaults makes no difference to the maths - 1 in 4 women gets assaulted every year provides the same maths as 1 in 4 over a longer period. Otherwise, you end up with 4 in 4 women after 4 years.

The study you're citing was a study of college aged privileged white men - hardly a representative sample and forever taken out of the context of the study itself. I don't think for a second that 30% of all men would force a woman to have sex if they could get away with it - I think, as I've suggested, the figure is somewhere between 5 - 8%, BUT I do think it's likely to be disproportionately higher at the upper and white end of society where people aren't used to being told they can't have something. That, to my mind at least, explains the discrepancy between the 5% and the 30% figure. That's why we all know who Brock Turner is - but we're not talking about Peter Lars Jonsson, Carl-Fredrik Arndt or the 'Concerned Juror'.

The Penguin is neither a man nor a woman, the Penguin is deliberately a Penguin. There's good reason for that; because it means the Penguin can say things like 'this entire argument was unhelpful for achieving the ends of feminism' - that is getting men and women on the same page about how to resolve social issues around gender inequality.

The Penguin politely refutes your assertion that Penguin's do not have insight and would further advise you not to see feminism as 'women's issues' to which men cannot contribute - because it is exactly part of the problem you are purporting to solve. The Penguin has plenty of empathy, but also understands circle-jerks comprised of empathy and agreement do not constitute progress, they just feel like it. :o)
