Again…. I’m someone who has taught English, I’m aware that ‘they’ has been a singular pronoun - and can be used in that way. I don’t have a problem with it. I don’t think most liberals do. Conservatives might disagree - but they are wrong on that count and so I can see ‘they’ being used in the way you want it to be used beyond the LGBTQ+ community. It’ll take time.
What I’m saying is that the chances of neo-pronouns that aren’t ‘they’ are going to have a much harder job getting a foothold within the English language. They aren’t really being used outside of the LGBTQ+ community and I can’t see take up happening soon. It’s much better to focus everyone on the battle which can be won. ‘They’ is the way to go.
