Agreed. And I have self reflected, it’s why I don’t hold with performative or knee-jerk anti-racism. The sort of ‘put a black square up’ or ‘say the right thing at the right time’ levels of activism that perpetuate through the perpetually woke.

What happens with a great deal of people is they assume a position based on their experience and feelings. They blindly support whatever they read which echoes their view and then fail to question it. This leads them to radicalise their position and dehumanise ‘the other’, whoever that happens to be.

That’s why anti-racism has become troubling racist (great article by Steve QJ with that exact title) and why feminism gradually replaced itself with misandry - as I argued in this article.
