Agreed - it is a huge problem, but that needs addressing within the military. Forcing men into situations where they might get shot in a war simply for having penises isn't equality either.

And you can begin to stratify the figures along different lines - for example, those from poorer backgrounds generally get shot more frequently than those from the upper class (who become officers) that's certainly the case here in the UK. So should we ensure everyone over a certain income bracket has to stand at the front when the machine guns attack, or allow the poorest members of society the right to not be conscripted.

The relationship between men and women is worrying, as you've pointed out - but feminism is clear. There has to be equal treatment along the grounds of sex/gender.
