Ahhh yes, but I didn't read THAT story, I read the other one where the nastiness was sort of glossed over. Perhaps the punishment of those who broke the rules was incompatible - but in that link I sent you, the skulls were hit from behind. Perhaps that's punishment, perhaps it's low level street violence... some people got hit a few times.

I do understand the difference between egalitarianism and utopia.... but you do a good job of layering your pieces with the undefinable whiff that the egalitarianism of old is preferable to what we have now because patriarchy is terrible. You don't often say this and it isn't often directly stated in your work, but it is a recurring feature that plays well. I don't think patriarchy is quite the demonic hellscape suggested by those who use it as a catch-all for everything bad in the world whilst ignoring everything good.

I don't necessarily debate in bad faith - but let us remember you have studied much of this material and I'm playing catch up. You have the home-advantage. Come debate me on British Theatre and we'll really see who's boss. Perverse kind of affection! Hahahahha. Love it. That's the closest I've ever gotten to a 5* review on Medium.
