Alas, Penguins are rubbish on bikes - though Amsterdam is one of my favourite cities in the world. It's beautiful, though I am almost knocked over by at least one cyclist per visit. They take no prisoners - but I bet they kill less people than cars do!

I think a lot of city planners from back in the day should be taken out the back and humanely put down - there was no future proofing at all, particularly in America but also here in the UK. Everything is going suburban and it doesn't quite work the way it should. Great article. Happy cycling. :o)
