Am perfectly fine with listening – and couldn’t be further from the religious American right. Read the comments on my pieces and don’t presume they’re all just Trumpian shills.

Someone who used the phrase ‘hi guys’ and got attacked for being part of the patriarchy, the bored and exhausted liberals who watch the circular arguments with growing resignation. Anyone outside the exclusionary tent of identity politics who even dares question the received wisdom. To dissent is to get shouted down by a condescending mob of intellectual superiority. You did it in your first comment – you did it again here.

This isn’t a liberal position. It’s a totalitarian position masquerading as inclusive. It’s right wing ideology wearing the clothes of left wing altruism. If your response to that accusation is always ‘you haven’t read enough and I am the bastion of all knowledge’ – then how are you creating a tolerant listening society? How are you better than a fundamental religious extremist?

I will debate in good faith with any argument you bring – but so far all you’ve done is throw personal insults about my writing style and given a somewhat cursory assessment of my intelligence.
