As I said in the article, not a big Beatles fan and think they’re overrated…. But you
missed the point I’m making here, Taylor Swift has taken bland musicalityand run with it beyond the level of the Beatles and the Beach Boys despite not really having the same level of musicality. The marketing of swift is a whole other level of capitalist interference. The closest comparison I can think of is Andy Warhol. I don’t like the music, but I don’t like Warhol’s art either - but that’s not really the issue. The issue is the direction it’s pushing the nature of art.
