At the time I showed up here, which seems to be about 13/14 hours after it was written - there were 9 comments ahead of me, all of them positive. That has been my experience of reading your Trump stories. There seems very little in the way of negativity, though there is undoubtedly some, but not compared with the avalanche of support which comes in. It seems to this bird there'sa lot of profit to be made from the 'you go girl...' brigade who show up to endorse their already pre-existing position and have their catharsis outrage buttons pushed.
I think it's great for you as an individual writer building an audience and seeing both your earnings and followers going up and up. I think it's part of an emerging problem of monetising echo chambers, one which is destabilising the democratic experiment and making the political left increasingly unelectable.
As you're open to opinions, you get mentioned in this recent piece https://medium.com/p/2a5537bef130 because whilst I enjoy your writing, I don't think it's leading anywhere good. So I politely dissent to baiting the outrage-echo-chamber. I'll do that on behalf of the centre ground readers and the moderate republicans who read (but often don't comment) on Medium.
Polite dissent of course being an integral part of the Argument package provided by the average Penguin. :o)
