Awwww man, and I thought English was hard and far too layered with cultural nuance... we don't have it in the grammar but we definitely have it in our tones. People need to watch out when my tone goes very polite. I think I would struggle if social hierarchy were encoded into the grammar itself. Great and fascinating lesson. :o)
