Because this side already has enough people slamming the right. Medium veers heavily to the political and progressive left - and a subscription to GEN, ZORA, Injustice! or any one of the million overhyped Medium publications will give you all the 'Aren't Republicans stupid!' stories you could ever want.

It's very easy to get support for bashing the right on this platform. It's much harder to get support for the centre gound or for reasonable positions. I've found the best way to do that is to be a dissenting voice. If you go back through my stories you'll see I have no real love for the right wing either.

Both sides do have to play by the same rules and by the same logic. There are idiots on both sides, but I rarely see a right wing post on this platform to disagree with. If you haven't discovered Steve QJ yet, I highly recommend giving him a read.
