Blue is indeed the opposite over here, the red is left and the blue is right, but American's shouldn't be encouraged to think their version of politics is the default any more than they should be encouraged to call crisps, chips.

FSM stands for 'Free School Meals' - I didn't write it in the article itself, but it's in there in the picture ' Disadvantage and working class' - which explains far better than I can the circumstances under which a pupil gets a Free School Meal. :o)
