Borderline Personality Disorder. The question about whether the dislike for Meghan is race based or whether it's personality based is complicated. There were plenty of people who supported Harry's marriage, she was spoken about in a very positive way both in the press and in the public. Holding her to a different standard from Kate seems to be something emerging from her desire to distance herself from the royal family. The more valid question is was the racism there from the beginning or has it emerged, either tangibly or imagined since the Sussexes went their own way. I'd be inclined to say for the majority of people it was the latter, though I'm prepared to be proven wrong.
I don't know the Markle family but her mother does seem to be the calm stabilising influence while her father shares some of the traits you've identified.
I am a Penguin, so I don't have a race. (Read my pinned story for my views on identity politics). I think in many instances the question of race has become mixed up with many other more complicated and nuanced facets of personality, including with Meghan Markle. There can be no excuse for racist attitudes towards her, but that cannot be a defence rooted in 'any and all criticism is racism' - because neither position is nuanced enough. We have to find the balance.
Some people have and they like her. I have and I don't - I think it's a personal thing. I actually prefer her (albeit slightly) to Harry. I don't know what that says about racism, sexism or whether I just inherently hate unearned privilege. It's difficult to tell. :o)
