But presumably these were the same white folks that elected Obama in 2008? That's not an automatic pass for white people - I'm just saying that the narrative 'all white people vs all black people' lacks historical integrity and a great deal of nuance.

It'll win claps and support from a left leaning social media movement, but it won't help budge people of all colours out of their ideological bunkers. The more this narrative is spun, the more entrenched the positions and the more dangerous the world becomes.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to blame all of society's ills on Conservative white men... but the reality of society and the machinations of politics is infinitely more complex than that.
