Can you explain the difference between dismissing the views of a black person because you’re a racist and dismissing the views of another black person has a ‘colonised mind’ - so you can dismiss them out of hand.

And I’m going to push back and say…. If you write down about someone who works in a specific place and you call them Lady SH then you have identified them. Because anyone with the slightest shred of intelligence can work it out.

If I’m talking about medium writers and I say Mr UH and Ms JW often write doomporn, it won’t take a Sherlock Holmes to uncover who I’m talking about. The context is there, the initials are there, she DID name the woman who was racist. What she did was give herself plausible deniability. This means she gets to come out and say she didn’t want her to be fired etc. Maybe that’s true, maybe it isn’t.

Here in the U.K. we rarely fire people on the spot because of some random shit people put on the internet…. We have unions and processes, resigning was the most likely option. Many British people abhor open conflict and this allows everyone to save face…. This isn’t a ‘colonised mind’ - such a position undermines the individual in question, this is British society and how it works.
