Complicated stuff - and far more common than most people think. Have never been so closely involved in these cases - but also have very limited medical skills so wouldn't be the first person to be asked. It takes people a long time to realise that kindness needs boundaries and what his wife needed was intense DBT, that can't be provided by a husband and it can't be provided by one person. That sort of tragic pattern requires an entire team to undo. Great article. :o)
