Couldn’t agree more - but let’s not characterise these people as left wing or liberals. They’re neither of those things. They’re a sort of freelance group of niche interest Dunning Kruegerites. They don’t really have a position other than ‘progressive’ - but they can’t define what progress they want, what it looks like in practice or how to get there. They’re essentially ideologues who can be stripped of their philosophical armour in less than three seconds by anyone with any competence in debate. Then they have to blame you for showing the world their flimsy arguments because that’s all they’ve got left in the tank.

That’s true of all ideologues, whether they’re trans-supporting progressives or MAGA enthusiasts. They toe the line, they just have no idea where the line is, which way it’s facing - they also have a tendency to be the loudest person in the room. :o/
