Definitely pleased that you mostly don't care - cultural appropriation outrage, like most outrage is manufactured to make lazy people feel more important. It's activism with none of the actual activity attached. Why bother making a coherent political or sociological perspective on any matter when you can behave like kelp in the swirling currents of pointless outrage. People sway left, right and whichever way gives them the most dopamine bang for their buck - and then sit and wonder why the world isn't getting any better and descending into a mess of conflicting pissing contests. You can either have multiculturalism or you can have cultural appropriation - you can't really have both or pick the bits you like - you either want culture shared, or you want culture to be specific and contained within national identity.. I'm a fan of multiculturalism because I think sharing is great.

Great article, bonus points for the adorable Dirndl too :o)
