Depends how complicit you think Ron is in handing the keys over to his brother. You have to remember this isn’t about Ron and Diane, this is about the school board’s choice between Ron and Diane. There comes a point where Diane’s desire to make things better exceeds the school board’s tolerance for total spending. Most of the time you get Ron…. in 2016 you got Bob (via Ron reluctantly handing him the keys) I suspect it was a lesson that will force the schoolboard back to Diane for a while yet…. but hey some kids loved the high adrenaline ride to school Bob did and have been very vocal about that. Perhaps the school-board now hopes that Ron has learned his lesson about looking after the keys and Diane’s fiscal plans aren’t quite as ambitious.

What ideally needs to happen is that Ron and Diane get together and talk about why they’re both bad choices and find a middle way. Bob needs to be kicked out into the wilderness by Ron and should never come back — but I suspect he’s still got some sway. :o/
