Excellent feminism in principle, but needs legal backing and bilateral agreements in place between governments. I’d hope the U.K. would sign up to such a thing - we aren’t terrible at child protection and DNA evidence could result in a prosecution as well as a court order to pay. The difficult part would be proving knowledge of the age of the girl - though I’m sure having the trial and publicity alone would terrify these fuck awful sex tourists.

Great article. Very enjoyable (probably not the right word) and great highlight how problematic it is in how it’s being resolved by the charity sector. If the scheme is feasible, and it seems to be, then it needs to be properly funded and run out of the various embassies in collaboration with specialist units in Western Democracies.

I’m less inclined toward the rhetoric around race and patriarchy - cos that’s not my identity politics jam - but I think money should always be flowing from wealth to poverty, it should be doing so in most circumstance, in this circumstance it should be mandatory. Thanks for writing. :o)
