Find the oppressed trans-person in this story... it seems like a guy went and had a baby and everyone helped him deliver it. Then everyone was very pleased and then I wrote an article about it - in which I discussed how this was an inclusive good thing. The only thing I pushed back on was the fact that during his medical procedure, he was called 'she' and 'mother' and this is unfortunate but doesn't constitute an insurmountable hurdle in the grand scheme of things.
You have taken the position that the few times he was misgendered is evidence of oppression. I'd invite him to try and have a baby in Saudi Arabia or Moscow and then see if you can re-define what constitutes 'oppression'. You're perfectly entitled to hold your opinion and push back on behalf of your community - but I think my positioning is entirely reasonable and I have zero problems with it.
