First of all, if you haven’t actually watched the trial, I’d recommend going and doing that. This article is heavy on the pre-conditions, light on what was stated in the case.

Secondly, Heard did not win in London, she was neither the plaintiff nor the defendant - she was a witness for the defence, there was a different question, a different balance of probabilities and no duty to disclose.

Thirdly, you either believe women are adults or you don’t. Age gaps are irrelevant. When two people are adults they can and should do as they please and it’s counter productive to the aims of feminism to insinuate that women are delicate little flowers who can’t make up their own minds when they’re grown ass women.

And finally, the reason you’re likely losing friends is that you’re demonstrating a high level of misandrist behaviour. That’s it. Would you stay friends with a raging misogynist? When you insist, after six weeks of a open court trial in which under cross examination a woman changed her testimony, got caught in mistruths, provided no credible witnesses, was rebutted by many credible witnesses, produced doctored images and was found to be selling the story for material gain…. If after all that, you want to insist she’s innocent of defamation, then you’re not really interested in justice. You’re interested in ‘holding men accountable’

Whether they’ve done something to deserve it or not doesn’t matter - and that’s why you’re losing friends. Go and watch the trial.
