For a while on Medium it was the prevailing world view - you couldn't read anything else. Since they've decided to pivot away fromt he publications solely curating pieces like this, there's been a resurgence of alternative voices - and the platform is much better for it. For a while back there, I thought it was just me that dissented - but no.... turns out we just couldn't find each other because the curation Gods forbade it. :o)
