Glad you did! The Orville is great and I found it very enjoyable indeed - and yes, that's the beauty of some of the writing, I'm very used to being able to predict what writing is going to do in TV... but the Orville frequently wrong-foots me. That, along with many other reasons, is why it's so watchable. Season 2 and Season 3 are also very good, and similar to TNG, the characters grow and change as the adventure continues.
