GOK what Medium are doing these days. My best performing story is one I didn’t agree for featuring on the homepage — it just keeps going and going. I think that’s probably because it’s my profile story and I reckon more people are finding my stuff via comments and highlights from others. A highlight or a comment used to see a flurry of activity a few years ago.

Curation still seems to give an initial bump — but I’m suddenly getting detailed comments from stories so old I’ve forgotten what I’ve written. So I think they’re doing more personal recommendations.

It’ll all change again in six months as it usually does, but I’m very relieved that we’re past the Medium Publication force-feed era. Medium feels like a social space again and not a left leaning online newspaper.
