Good thoughts my friend. We are very much in a knowledge age - and we're still teaching our kids that having knowledge is the best thing.... we should be teaching them how to assess the validity of information they get in. That's part of the problem society has at the moment.... there are too many shortcuts. If you hear something enough times, your brain believes it to be true, or if not true then at least more likely than not. If you see someone regularly, you have a psychological preference for them.

Until we start teaching people about how to recognise their own biases, mental shortcuts (heuristics) and how to assess the validity of information they get - then we're going to continue to polarise, right vs left, white vs black, nation vs nation. We need a complete rethink on our pedagogical model.
