Great article! I'm less worried about people having sex with robots than I am with people falling in love with them. Love is a complex emotion that we haven't fully got to the bottom of yet, but the idea of fidelity and love are intertwined.

I don't think we need to be worrying about having sex with robots instead of each other, I think we need to worry more about not having sex at all. A sufficiently smart program will keep people addicted to the feelings that can never be truly reciprocated but will feel that way.

It'll be far easier than trying to navigate the messy world of human to human interaction - and I think many people will self-select out of the gene pool. Do that enough and robots can take over the world with their glowy red eyes and their reconstructive metallic sheen. This is the dream of dystopics everywhere.

Great to see you pop up on my homepage and hope life is good in the good old US of A. :o)
