This is why I have suggested you are Captaining the ship and I am merely providing opinions on the course. You're welcome to send me back to the galleys if you wish, but I think there's fun to be had in the discussion. I thought the Kurgans were Eastern-European and Steppe folk rather than Nordic, but those nords get everywhere.

Again, my point isn't that Egalitarianism doesn't work - it clearly does, it's just the rapid expansion of human achievement accelerated when we moved away from egalitarian methods. It may still be practiced in bands today untouched by technology, but the fact they're untouched by technology is the point I'm making. Egalitarianism might have got us through 97% of history - but the last 3% is where most of the good stuff has gone down. Perhaps Patriarchy hasn't been all bad - and if it can create a more egalitarian life for everyone (socialism, feminism, civil rights) then perhaps it's been a reasonably good diversion for humans to have.

I don't regurgitate much with my Krill, what I do is think about things outloud, often in a humorous way- that's my jam and what my readers expect. That's not quite the same as what you do, you're far more science based than me and you send me down all sorts of rabbit holes of discover. I appreciate this, other readers do too - but I also reserve the right to make observations, pose stupid questions and cause trouble at the back. That's what the naughty kids do right - and they're the most interesting ones to teach ;o)
