Having read the comments I’d like to say I’m fine with it. Not because I agree but because it is an honest take. You cannot challenge issues like this by pretending they don’t exist (we Brits are good at this.) if the commenter wishes to be taken to task by other Asians then great, but if not… why not? The only way you get to the heart of these issues is with honest discussion and you cannot have that when there is a penalty for honest discussion. I suspect the author is a little less biased than his statement suggests (he engaged in discussion after all) and it was offered in good faith. If it was, then it is worth exploring more fully and my assertion that the film is boring and the Asian rejection of it must be re-examined in the light of what he has to say.
