He can be a young man but he's also legally still a child. He may have been asked to go there and defend property - but that's the point I'm making. Where has America got to when an alternative to adequate policing is arming your youngest citizens.
I know you're likely to disagree with me here - and that's fine because we occupy different positions. There's an underclass of very angry Americans into which the nihilistic Rosenbaum fitted. The left wing would be stupid to claim him as one of their protestors because he mostly likely wasn't aligned with any movement at all. There was a bandwaggon for destruction and he jumped on it.
America has two solutions, reduce the poverty or police the crime. If you can't police the crime (as happened here) you're a landmass of anarchy between two oceans. If you can reduce the poverty and intercede before people like Rosenbaum get to the stage where every person on the planet is a target then maybe that'll help. That's my solution - the solution for the political right seems to be as you've suggested 'we need an awful lot more of them' - which I think is going to get a lot of people (some of them still children) killed.
Despite our opposing views on almost everything, it's always nice to see your name pop up in my feed. :o)
