Hehehe. I’m afraid I always come down on the side of the best argument. In the case of the monarchy, the rules that govern it (genetic succession) do exclude people who aren’t white. That’s racist.
I’m all about equity and fairness. Often when I’m tackling anti-racists, it’s because their arguments are subjective, extrapolated from emotion and lack solutions. That’s why I don’t understand why so many of them have a total blind spot for monarchy.
If it helps you feel better, I oppose all genetic monarchies. So the Thai royal family and the Japanese emperors are also equally racist. As are all the African royals and even the Kim family of North Korea (which is basically a monarchy) – it’s not the skin colour, it’s the rules.
