Hehehehee. I have no say over the awards but it’s got my vote. You might also enjoy the other McDonagh plays in this vein. The Lieutenant of Inishmore and The Cripple of Innishmaan. I suspect he wrote Banshees as a play first and adapted it to screen. Fab writing. Fab observational humour. Fab dark comedy…. I’m talking about you and McDonagh both to be sure. :o)
