Here I am, one year later to say that your work was vindicated and you were bang on (though you already know this). There was a huge legal overreach on this issue and the matter should always have been left to medical professionals to determine.

As always, there's a caveat. Medical professionals do not operate in a vacuum and we should be careful to protect the rights of doctors to make decisions. When David Bell and Marcus Evans both resigned - that should've been more a sign not everything was running perfectly. If we say 'this must be handed back to the doctors' and then two very experienced doctors blow whistles loudly, we need to take that seriously. We can't just label it transphobia and hope for the best.

I'm wondering if you've read Evans' article? It's a good read, though I suspect you may not agree with all his conclusions.
