Hey! The author is still here. Ukraine COULD target some Russian cities - that's the point of having long range weapons. The implication is threat - whether or not it chooses to use those weapons is up to them.... but the threat of long range weapons isn't just at a shed just outside St Petersburg - the Kremlin might become a valid target, it may not target civilians but civilians might be there.

I think Biden is in the early stages of Parkinsons - based on his presentation. He may know where he is most of the time, but he's having episodic black outs where the lights go out across his entire brain. Same as Mitch McConnell.... that's what the freezing is all about. I'd argue, if you're in the middle of a war and deciding how/when/whether to respond or not, deeply and slowly is not quite what's on the cards.

Lincoln was indeed seen as a weak candidate, he'd lost a senate race ahead of the Presidency and was a centrist moderate in a divided party. There's a chance Harris might turn into Lincoln but I doubt it - Lincoln's reputation was bolstered by a) the civil war and b) getting shot. I hope neither of things comes to pass for the US and Harris.

Both political Cheneys have endorsed Harris - I suspect that came with advice on how to win over non-Trumpist Republicans from the right of centre. If it didn't come with a package of advice on what to say or how to say it, then quite frankly both Harris/Cheney are pissing about in the dark. She'll be taking advice from him and she'll be taking advice from Sanders - and both of them will be holding their nose to do it.
