Hi Mark, thanks for this.... I've been trying to defend the position I took in this article, as prima facie it seems like an unfair comparison. You've just done it far better than I ever could.

I briefly wrote a line about how Tate and Jgln were both symptoms of the same underlying problem, she was a mild rash and he was a brain anneurism... but the line felt glib and insulting in a way I wasn't happy with. I like Katie's work because I think it's interesting, I wish she'd engage in a bit of back and forth sometimes.... but she elects not to.

I think that's the two words I was searching for in vain. Awful incentives.
