Hmmm. I think you’ve taken a polemic position on this one. We’ve talked about the problems inherent in ‘mums and their boys’ before - it runs deep and it isn’t easily sorted. There are plenty of complicated situations where it isn’t as easy as ‘come pick the kids up’ - a clusterfuck of intergenerational trauma and complex psychologies that don’t fit neatly into the ‘whose fault is this?’ game. If we’re going to start resolving stuff, we have to have more detailed and non-partisan conversations.
