How you tackle racism is worth debating, but the echo chambers in Medium won’t allow much in the way of constructive debate. Almost anything which shifts away from an identity led paradigm is decried as ‘racist’. Medium is an echo chamber of people who are too afraid to talk about race because of weaponised offence - it’s very profitable to be anti-racist, without really having to define what that means.

I’d say the political middle class left just made things harder for Black poor people by consistently running identity driven politics instead of focussing on economic empowerment. Pointing this out is itself according to many evidence of racism and ‘whiteness’.

To suggest to an echo chamber there is nothing to debate about racism is downplaying the complexity somewhat.
