These are the stats that show a shift away from the centre ground parties towards the more Nationalistic party. There's definitely a correlation between racism and Reform - in that not every Reform voter will be racist, but almost every racist will vote Reform. The political extremes almost always emerge out of poverty, this is how the Bolsheviks did it, it's the hijacking of the Sans-culot in the 1790s, the Germans in the wake of 1929 and Mao with his farmers. Extreme ideologies play on economic insecurity.
The economically secure are meandering off to Liberal Democrats or spending time in ideological identity bubbles here in London. It's a worrying disconnect that Labour have so far failed to address (though we have only given them a hundred days or so).
