I agree... but there's been a gradual erosion of context on both sides. Comedian's jokes taken out of the context in which they were delivered. Partly quoting speeches. Going back through social media to search out badly thought through comments that can be used against a person. It's all very childish and very silly.

We also have to be very careful about what constitutes 'vitriol'. With both sides acting in a hyper sensitive way, what constitutes 'vitriolic' is being rewritten on a daily basis by the subjectivity of whoever control the victim narrative.I'm not sure when it will end - but the demos is slowly fatiguing on both sides and we'll return to the middle ground soon. I hope. I really really hope.
