I agree. I don't mean he's comparable in personality or faculties to Ernst Rohm, what I mean is that he might be observably on the journey towards fascism but be forced off the freeway a little earlier than expected when someone a bit more ruthless starts driving up behind him. Trump is the big personality everyone is looking at, but that doesn't mean he's Hitler. You'd better hope he is though, because if he's Rohm, you've all collectively missed the Himmlers and Heydrichs.

Ernst Rohm died telling the SS to go fuck themselves, baring his chest and challenging Hitler to show up and shoot him in person. I can't see Trump doing anything that courageous - he hasn't done it in the first 79 years, I can't see a personality change in the next 4. Though... in his defence, he did get up pretty fast when shot in the ear - so maybe he's got hidden reserves of more than just cholesterol. ;o)
