I agree in part, what I don't understand is why Medium thinks its a good idea to undersell the reasonable Conservatives on here. If Trump has become the voice of the Conservative right, then I want to read those who don't like him but will vote for him anyway. I want to know and understand that rationale, because then it can be addressed. I make no bones about being a lefty, but I'm also reasonable and can debate. At the moment, not even the reasonable Conservatives are showing up in my feed - the furthest right I get is those people who don't like either candidate but will probably vote for Biden or stay at home. I'm prepared to give a respectful listen and I'll helpfully point out when I think they've gone into fantasy batshit mode and/or release the snarktillery. I think that's a fair position to take.

By the same token, if we're going to exclude the Trump brigade on the hard right.... and your point is well made that we should, then we should also be excluding those on the far progressive left. If I cannot have a reasonable discussion with someone about the complex intersectionality of feminism and trans rights without someone going off like a bomb and retreating into dogmatic abuse then they shouldn't be here either.... but they are here. In the case of James Finn (who tbf I may have caught on a bad day), he's a Boost Nominator in a publication with a huge following.

This is what I mean by the Supreme Court mentality. You absolutely can throw people off the platform if they can't engage in good faith, but you must do so with impartiality, you must do so openly and you must show your working out and your accountability. Otherwise you end up with an abandoned echo chamber.
