I agree with Alex and what he/she has identified. In order to push an agenda of equality and fairness, you have to fully understand and internalise what those are - what 'woke' has become is a shorthand form of virtue signalling. It lets everyone know that you're angry about a given issue, without actually putting much thought into the complexity of that issue.
Sure, people do have a right to be angry about certain facets of how society operates - but being angry with how society is and providing a credible roadmap for society is a different thing. Self-identifying as a sort of modern-freedom-fighter allows psychological bypassing of common sense and reason (in some cases but not all) and this can often make the situation worse rather than better.
If a building is lacking structural integrity, you have to go there and sure it up. You have to provide stability and build something better 'woke' rarely provides solutions to the problems outside of just being angry. It's basically like starting a fire, sure.... it looks pretty, but if you haven't got a credible plan for rebuilding, then when the whole thing comes down, you're just left with a mess.
That's why the left is currently simultaneously arguing for people to be able to transition between two sexes (but not races) but also that it doesn't matter if you identify at any point between those two places.... because those places aren't real either.
Woke is a confusing mess of people all pointing at their shiny badge saying 'I'm the good guy' without thinking that maybe, if they were actually given their own way unfettered by consequence.... they might just be screaming 'be more tolerant' at people until the acquiesced into silent obedience.
