I also agree - which is why i think the answer to many social ills is to be found by readdressing the financial disparities between groups, rather than focussing on the identities of those groups and the resultant infighting. Problems like racism won't be entirely solved by better community centres, greater mixing int eh education spheres, more free childcare, better access to medical help when needed and social programmes aimed at the youth.... but that will reduce racism.

I can't see how focussing everyone's mind on skin colour and screaming about oppression is going to help. Objectively speaking from over here in the UK, It seems to be making the problem worse in America.
