I am not a fan of the Woke approach that all things can be laid squarely at the feet of whichever white person is passing. I'm aware of the writer who writes endless articles about every minor issue in her life being a product of racism and I find it very frustrating. Having said that, the stats are pretty clear when you adjust for population size, that black men die when interacting with the police more frequently than they should.

There's a middle ground to be taken - and the one which I try to take. Shouting at everyone in Switzerland helps nobody at all - but so does denying the statistical data compiled by the US Government. Something must be done, but it needs to be done by the most intelligent people, not the loudest. Woke people are generally loud and turn off moderates and conservatives and push them further to the political right, something that makes the whole problem a lot worse over time. It's an own goal.
