I am not overly fond of progress at gunpoint or the self-congratulations which comes with turning the left-wing into a middle class identity based pissing contest... aside from that I'm sure we'd probably get on. I'm good fun.
And yes, if you've had trauma then you will be triggered. The reason I don't like trigger warnings is that they don't resolve the problems created by trauma, they simply generalise it and make it more difficult and diffuse to deal with. Trigger warnings look like a good thing, but I'm not convinced they are in the long run.

You can see I've already commented, but I think the author makes some points you'd be interested in debating with them. Different opinions are good for society and disagreeing about the direction of travel is all part of the journey. I'm sorry life has left you with some unresolved trauma and I hope you're in a happier place and on a journey to recovery. Keep on keeping on. :o)
