I am the left. I'm the economic left. My right wing is your left. I cannot be the conservative white man because I am a Penguin and also, I am not a conservative. What you have done here is taken disagreement with the method of getting to change as a desire to oppress people.

I'd love to create a world free from racism, I don't think you can do that with identity politics - and certainly not in a country with a larger voting block of white people than minority groups. That said... the 'left' in your country is currently in power, there are enough liberals and left of American centre voters to have kicked the Republicans into touch.... the far right Republicans, those who Trump managed to convince.

And the answer.... as proposed by identity politics, is to exclusively focus on the niche needs of subsections of the demos rather than a more comprehensive view of what might appeal to the demos overall. I think change is possible - I don't think focus on skin colour is the way to do it. As i've said many times before, you've got valid critiques to make around privilege, but you're going to struggle to convince a white working class guy that your needs should come first, when you're connected to the internet, engaging in philosophical discussions and have a relatively (I hope) happy life.

Racial privilege does not intersect with the vast majority of your voters - so for better or worse, you have to discover and propulgate a message that appeals to them too..... now you can throw your toys out of the pram and call them all bigots and deplorables if you want to - but I don't think it's a winning strategy. You know what I think is a winning strategy, economic help without taking into account the colour of someone's skin. :o)
