I bet there's an entire Fillmore dynasty that nobody knows about, they're probs head of the illuminati or something by now. I haven't read Stephen Ambrose but I will put 'Undaunted Courage' on my reading list. I tend to do audiobooks these days as I walk a lot more than I sit still and London gives me plenty of time to listen to things as I change tubes and busses going about my daily life.

I think, if the Republican Party is smart - and they might be - they'll run Ivanka Trump or someone similar against Kamala in 2024. The political right will stand behind anyone who unites their cause - we had that with Thatcher's rise to power in the 1970s. If the Republicans run a woman against Kamala, that'll take the wind out of the sails of some progressives and make the independent vote narrower.

My favourite President is a difficult one because I need to research them all a little more than I have done. At the moment it's probably FDR, he seems to be as close as you guys ever got to actual socialism. Rambling messages are the best! :o)
